We are situated just off the Eastham Road (R150) Bettystown, 2 minutes from the sandy beaches of Bettystown and 10 minutes from the towns of Drogheda, Ballbriggan and Swords in Ireland’s Ancient East.
The Village Hotel is located adjacent to a Matthews Bus Stop which services to and from Dublin on a very frequent basis and is five minutes from Laytown Train Station.

Laytown Races

As the only Race Event that runs on a Beach, the Laytown Races holds this unique position in the Irish Racing Calender. Having run for 140 years, this race event takes place annually each September and is something not to be missed for the whole family.

Funtasia

Located in the centre of Bettystown, Funtasia is a fabulous and fun filled day out for all the family. Located in Millmount, the birthplace of Drogheda, not only does the venue boast one of the most stunning locations in town, when you host an event here the venue is exclusively yours. Brought to you by the same owners behind the Black Bull Inn and now The Village Hotel, Richmond Fort is located over two floors and each has their own unique features and décor. Newgrange

Newgrange is a Stone Age Momument located in the Boyne Valley and is considered the jewel in the crown of Ireland’s Ancient East. Visitors access the site by guided tour only through the Bru na Boinne Visitor Centre. Open year round. Please check the website as opening times do differ throughout the season.

Tayto Park

Located in Ashbourne, this family friendly theme park is the most wonderful and fun filled day for the whole family. Since its opening in 2010, it has become one of Irelands most popular attractions from the wonderful theme park which boasts spectacular rides for all ages including the famous “Cu Chulainn Coaster” to the playground and pony rides for the younger visitors to the world-famous Tayto Factory Tour. Tayto Park is a must-see day out for the whole family.

Highlanes Gallery

Highlanes Art Gallery opened its doors in October 2006 and was the culmination of many years planning to deliver a dedicated visual art space for the Irish North East Region. The Gallery programmes approximately 5 temporary exhibitions every year. Open from Monday to Saturday, year round, this is a wonderful addition to your cultural experience of the local region.

Slane Castle

Located within the town of Slane, Co Meath, Slane Castle is set in the middle of a 1500 acre estate. The Castle, itself boasts an array of wonderful tours – including both castle and distillery. Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann

Fleadh Cheoil ns hEireann is the world’s largest annual celebration of Irish Music, Language and Song & Dance. Drogheda is proud and delighted to host this festival this year, 2018. The town will come alive and will feature workshops, competitions, concerts, singing, ceilis and lots of fun for all. Baltray Golf Club

Situated four miles from Drogheda, this world famous Golf Course is consistently named within the Top 10 in Ireland. It is always best described as user friendly and provides competition for all handicaps. Baltray has played host to Major National and International events, both amateur and
